Is using the word "bullet-proof" appropriate?
Hi Teachers, I am hoping to "dodge a bullet" here!
I created the Bulletproof Package ... and now I see that, in a time where gun violence and the horrible phenomenon of school shootings is part of our reality, the title might be inappropriate. I don't think it will be the permanent name.
So, please accept my apology if you find the title offensive. I really did not create it to encourage the warlike state that can sometimes happen in a classroom and it is not to encourage violence or to instigate any kind of shooting accident. Please, it's just a metaphor. It is for when we are "under fire".
It is a set of tools that I created. These tools are the result of many years of hard work and I've put my heart and soul into this. I hope it helps you in your class. I personally believe that you are going to have a lot of fun using this, that it'll get you excited, and that you're going to feel encouraged and supported. You might even want to share whatever I've got here for you.
